Drink Tea for Dry January

What is Dry January?

Dry January is an annual event where individuals abstain from drinking alcohol for the month of January. This event has become increasingly popular in recent years, with many people using it as a way to reset their relationship with alcohol and improve their overall health.

What are the benefits of Dry January?

One of the main benefits of participating in Dry January is that it allows individuals to break the habit of drinking alcohol on a regular basis. Many people find that they drink more than they initially intended to and that alcohol has become a routine part of their daily lives. By abstaining from alcohol for a month, individuals can re-evaluate their relationship with alcohol and make healthier choices in the future.

Another benefit of Dry January is that it can improve overall health. Alcohol is a major contributor to chronic diseases such as liver disease, cancer, and heart disease. By abstaining from alcohol for a month, you can reduce your risk of these diseases and improve your overall health, especially if you decide to extend Dry January into February and beyond. Additionally, abstaining from alcohol for a month can lead to weight loss, improved sleep, and better skin.

What non-alcoholic drinks should I drink during Dry January?

Tea, of course! During Dry January, people should drink more tea as an alternative to alcohol. Tea is a healthy and hydrating alternative to alcohol that can be enjoyed at any time of day. Many types of tea, such as green tea, black tea, and herbal teas, contain antioxidants and other beneficial compounds that can improve overall health. Drinking tea can also be a relaxing and enjoyable way to unwind after a long day without the negative effects of alcohol. Check out our non-caffeinated herbal teas, which are perfect for drinking post-work and right before bed.

You can also make a plethora of tea-based mocktails during this time, including some of our favorites, like a Fruity Moroccan Mint or a Lemon Crème Mule.

  2. Add 1/2 cup sparkling water
  3. Muddle some passion fruit, grapefruit, or other fruit of your choice with some fresh mint
  4. Add ice
  5. Enjoy!

Overall, Dry January is an important event that allows individuals to re-evaluate their relationship with alcohol and improve their overall health. By abstaining from alcohol for a month and drinking more tea, individuals can make healthier choices and improve their overall well-being. Use this time as an opportunity to reset and kickstart the year with a healthier lifestyle, which could have long-term benefits.
